Satya Nadella, the key executive for Microsoft Live Search had this to say while shutting down the Book Search initiative.
"We believe the next generation of search is about the development of an underlying, sustainable business model for the search engine, consumer and content partner," Nadella wrote."
This translates to "show me the money" and not necessarily all hard problems are worth pursuing. Now that Microsoft has thrown in the towel, will Google follow suit on this one?
